Economic value, a key metric for blockchain health, combines transaction fees paid by users with the MEV (Maximum Extractable Value) captured by validators. This combined figure represents the total revenue generated by the blockchain in a month. Additionally, Solana recorded 1.6 million active addresses in June, showcasing a vibrant user base. The figures are a testament to Solana's ongoing development and growing position as a major player. 3️⃣ Growth in Tokenization 📈 In four months, BUIDL, BlackRock's tokenized fund, is the first of its kind to surpass a market value of $500 million. Additionally, the market for tokenized treasuries has surged by 130% this year, reaching over $1.8 billion. The real-world asset (RWA) tokenization market is also keeping pace, currently valued at $12.45 billion. This rapid growth underscores the transformative potential of tokenization within the financial sector. 4️⃣ German Bitcoin Selling Continues 👀 The German government continues to sell its Bitcoin holdings, adding the equivalent of $344 million to the market on Wednesday, $362 million on Tuesday, and $900 million on Monday. This follows previous transfers and is a possible reason for the recent drop below $55,000. Mt. Gox, a defunct crypto exchange, is expected to begin repaying users up to $7.7 billion lost in a hack, potentially leading to further volatility. 5️⃣ Second Week of July Market Snapshot 💬 The total cryptocurrency market cap saw a decline, closing the week at approximately $2.13 trillion, down from $2.17 trillion 7 days ago. Major digital assets are all in the red on the 7-day chart. At the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading at $57,974.36 (-1.46%), while Ethereum is at $3,101.40 (-3.31%). Among the top 10 assets by market cap, only Solana is closing the week in the green at $141.58 (+4.87%). The Fear & Greed Index has moved into the Fear territory, currently sitting at 40, a decrease of five points from last week. Despite the recent market decline, weekly crypto asset flows saw an inflow of $441 million last week. This could be attributed to some investors viewing the German Government and Mt. Gox selling pressure as a buying opportunity, capitalizing on the lower prices.
