Building an X account and a broad follower base expands my reach and, by extension, the reach of Telos. If my entire follower count consisted only of Telos community members and all I did was post about Telos, then only our existing Telos bubble would be exposed to Telos. That's not effective marketing. Moreover, considering what Telos is aiming to achieve in terms of growing its DeFi ecosystem, it is in our best interest to foster strong relationships with some of the fastest growing and most relevant teams in the industry, such as Morpho. Finally, before I joined Telos, I clearly communicated and negotiated with the Telos Foundation that I would continue to run my venture capital business, which I have been doing for over five years. This is my X account, and I have every right to post whatever I choose, just like anyone else. I do not post about politics or anything unrelated to my professional or nonprofit interests, which include my charity and my portfolio companies, many of which I have been helping to incubate for years. In the case of Morpho, since 2021. I am working to rebuild my X account (my previous account had over 30k followers before I was banned) and expand my reach, which also increases the visibility of my Telos related content. I am doing so in a deliberate and thoughtful way that benefits Telos, such as by working to unlock partnerships and deployments that strengthen our DeFi ecosystem. It is kind of weird that every time I post, community members raid my mentions with these kinds of comments. I am not blaming anyone, and this is a free platform where anyone can post whatever they want which is exactly my point. Building a brand takes time and sustained effort. Doing so in an inclusive way also helps build relationships and, ultimately, partnerships. In recent months, Telos has achieved major improvements in DeFi, thanks to the Telos Foundation team forging key partnerships. A large part of that progress comes from behind the scenes relationship building (credit to the TF team for recent wins like Stargate, OKU, etc.,) Do we want Morpho on Telos? Yes, absolutely. OKU is close to unlocking that, and I have been privately discussing it with the Morpho team and others for quite some time. Marketing is not just about constantly promoting your products or services. It is about being authentic, maintaining a broad network, creating interesting and useful content, and attracting a diverse audience that can help unlock meaningful partnerships. Nobody engages with accounts that only promote themselves.
