It is important to ensure there is sufficient space in the security budget to allow for continuing growth of the app layer, sustain arbitrage, and create capacity for the order books that will be enabled in `3.12`. Cap behavior: `Total Node Bond * TVLCapBasisPoints/10000 > Total Vault Value` The team suggests increasing this mimir from `10000` to `15000` to increase the security budget by 50% (approximately 50m RUNE) and ensure there is capacity to continue normal operations. This is a change to the security posture of the network, as it will allow the network to secure more value in the vaults than the value bonded by nodes. The team is in agreement that the current node distribution has low risk of vault capture and it will continue to be monitored.
